Or employees. I worked for them and it was awful. Glad to be out of there.

I worked Lowe's HQ for 3 years (Mooresville NC). Lovely co-workers, decent managers, sh—a– upper management, CEO and COO. Lied to our faces every time there was a major layoff. Watching tens, then suddenly months later hundreds of employees leave was getting soul crushing. Not surprised at this news honestly though.

Worked IT there for about 6 months. What a phenomenal campus. I loved the Johnson & Whales student chefs that would cook the food.

Did an internship there, the food was delicious and the campus was very nice. I do really miss that aspect.

We were told lay off of assembly so we would have more time for customers. 3rd party only comes in two days a week. So now I get to tell my customers it will be to get their grill or riding mower. Guess who management sends to build it. No one else in the department for two hours. How is this better customer service ???

We would put frozen water bottles on the metal plate thermostats in the break room to trick the furnace into warming the room.
Without that the room was about 57 degrees on an average winter day. Corporate doesn’t want us in the break room.

As a former PSI I've been to the Mooresville HQ. 10' glass doors, coffee shops, cafes, chefs, security, gym. Trust me, they aren't hurting lol

Can't tell you how many times I've had customers say "Dang! Ya'll need to turn the AC on in here. What is the store manager doing to you?"

I tell them its ran from corporate and they just sigh and shake their head.

I wonder how much money the people who work at the "campus" make the company over those who work at the store level. The disconnect between the corporate campus and the actual stores is staggering. Can't help but feel like the ground floor workers are just being taken advantage of at every turn. Air conditioned offices, comfortable seating, a gym, probably some sort of cafe. Imagine how much the company could save if they ran the campus like they ran the stores. No A/C, get rid of the tables and chairs, a few vending machines. Maybe they can go 3rd party corporate folk too?
