This used to be a great company to work for before 2013.After that there were many layoffs targeting older workers many 45 and older with, 15, 20 and even 30 years service.Didn't matter if you had many Follett Value Awards or good reviews,
Just a salary dump.very sad.

6 years of undeclared warfare on the working folks. It's been 6 years of unrelenting attacks and cuts and insults. Why doe anyone still work for follett?
Please don't fool yourself about the institution where you work. You work for follett. The institution doesn't care. That's why they outsourced to follett. follett writes them a check. You work for follett and follett hates its employees. They've spent 6 year proving this point. Why stay?

AOH lays off corp IA, we’re consolidating
ADC move from RG, we’re automating
Stores 80/20 full time to part time, we’re modernizing
IT development dropped, we’re offshoring
Move to the faulty towers, we’re consolidating
Store text managers, we’re centralizing around new systems
2016 we’re looking good for our new long term debt
B&T we’re eliminating redundancy
ADC close and selloff, we’re refocusing
Yesterday, we’re stuck on stupid, still believing screwing our workforce is best.
If you spend your time here suggesting others get fired, you’re stupid too.
Don’t be stupid friend, get out now, there are healthy places hiring in the EDU space today.

Serious, hitting the stores, again? Why don’t they eliminate all of middle management, most don’t do much, that would be fiscally sound move.

Sometime after back to school this fall is rumored to bring big changes. A whole round of “realignment” layoffs again. Ops Managers, ASM’s in smaller stores, anyone that’s been feeling the pressure to find a new role in another store, watch your back.

internal audit is being outsourced? Is there another meaning to internal that means from the outside? Tweedle dumb and Tweedle dumber must have been promoted to full executive VP for this one.

Yes you are right!
When I was played off 6 years ago
They kept the smokers(about a dozen smoke breaks a day )
and the butt kissers.
They let go many dedicated and experienced workers.

It’s never the right ones though. We have so many redundancies, it’s ridiculous. And some people who have never worked in one of our stores have so much power over how we operate, it is truly baffling. We have lost a lot of great and loyal people in the last year to a variety of reasons.
