Can anybody confirm this?

When you buy Watson, then you have to spend months and millions to enter data, just to see if the product works. And then you find out it doesn't. Does this sound like a successful strategy to anyone?

Watson Health failed because of the lack of access to good data. Great idea, but was wishful thinking.
When you're dealing with any medical data you're going to have a rough time getting good, consistent, clean data to work with. And for Watson, you need a lot. As usual, great idea wrong time to market. :\

Basically IBM wasted the 4bil to dismantle these four companies that were at least innovating somewhat.

IBM had a chance to be the leader, but IBM mismanagement blew it again. Now all the competitors have better products.

Watson Health with be disbanded and absorbed into other parts of IBM. They will end up with a bunch of good IP and data that they do not have the knowledge or will to do anything good with.

On to the hitting and failure of RedHat. Hope you are all looking because in 2yrs you will out too.

Sad thing is Watson Health was made up of a bunch of acquired relatively successful companies that were making some contribution to human health and now are mismanaged out of existence.
