I got my 1:1 scheduled- is it for the purpose of layoff. Is it confirmed?? A little worried.

ask what the agenda for the meeting is, if they can not answer, then i am afraid it my be a layoff. If they do, it maybe just a catch up
This happened to me 11 years ago, never looked back. It was an amazing ride but its not the Cisco I knew.. There is so much out there, all of you will do well. Hopefully the packages have not got thinner over the years. It was a nice kiss as I was leaving.
2800 people got laid off today!! Sad

For the very BOLD among you that have 1:1's scheduled. Just don't show up to the 1:1 or answer your phone. :) Maybe you can transfer a little of the stress for a day or so back in the other direction....

The thick irony is how much our CEO talks about how Mental Health is a major crisis in this country – and yet, this persistent bi-annual threat never abates. The stress this causes most Cisco workers is very real – and they just shove it down inside, and try to do the best.

Just got my politely and clinically detached "F-You" for your 14 years of service. Just another way they embody the slogan 'changing the way you work, live, play and learn...' They make it ~all work~ till deem you no longer necessary. So glad I sacrificed so much over these years. Got screwed then and getting screwed now.

Typically the 1/2 hour Webex goes out (late in the evening) the night before the layoff. And yes, if it's 1/2 or less, it's almost certainly bad news (that's how our team got the news).
One of my co-workers got LR-ed this morning. The word is that there will be folks that will be called through-out the day. I feel for you. Good luck.
Remember that in some teams managers schedule meetings with all employees 1:1 and only in the meeting do folks find their fate.
Your manager probably just wants to catch up with you. Be positive!
