Do the former VZ IT employees remain as VZ shareholders??

You are a fool. If the measly dividend VZ pays out gives you $10k, there are some REITS out there that will easily double that.
Verizon will lower the dividend if they become cash strapped. Just look at Kraft-Heinz slashed theirs by 36% and more to come.
VZ stock is for lemmings.
Lol. You obviously aren't at my level of wealth. The Vz dividend has been very reliable, and will continue to be, but my Vz holdings, mostly from 401K match, cost me nothing, and are a tiny percentage of my total holdings.

Of course. They are currently providing me about $10K / year in reliable retirement income from the dividend. Verizon will never reduce the dividend, as the stock price would crash.
Qtrly Dividends.
Yes... have bought and sold all of them several times since I retired 2yrs ago
Stock bounces up & down in about a $5 range with regularity. The range has moved around a bit... but still fairly predictable... you just have to be willing to stomach the swings and collect the DIV. And you can't beat the management fees (next to nothing), & getting access at 55 was a big plus too. Once I hit the 59 1/2 mark I may move the account to an IRA with more control... (so I stop getting, "you trade too much, stop it"... letters from Fidelity)
How could it make a difference??
Yes, stable stock with a steady dividend.
yes
If you are referring to the 401k, company match is in Vz Stock unless/until you can move it.
