"Thank you for your service during the past 5+ years. I agree, we do have many extremely passionate people who work at Cengage and do amazing things for students, globally, every day. As we continue to make changes to transform our company and disrupt an industry to benefit students, it is important that we are open to candid feedback like yours. While there is a lot here that I would challenge, it is fair to say that our fast-changing environment is not for everybody. I wish you the best of luck in your next endeavor."

Agreed. These people are all sociopaths who want a return to feudalism where they will rule over the peasantry as Lord and Lady of the manor. Only rootless cosmopolitans aren’t noble or gracious to those under them.

The company has had at least 15 reorgs since MH took over, which is ridiculous. But at Cengage, where black is white, this is touted as a success because "the industry is moving so fast we must continue to reorg to keep up with it." It's actually not. Leadership is just too incompetent to respond to market changes that have been in the works for years. They're constantly reacting to what happened yesterday as opposed to what is coming tomorrow. Can you name me another company that reorgs their entire organization twice per year? No, because companies that are able to accurately forecast what is coming have relatively stable organizations. Cengage does not. Its complete madness.

I'm so sick of hearing the word 'disrupt' being used as an agent of 'change', or even the phrase, 'thinking outside the box...' It's all nonsense. Those of us in sales a decade ago grew up with the mantra 'work smarter not harder' so that we could set up our sales networks on auto pilot and then go do other important things like raise our families and go on vacation and get paid with minimal effort, and it was good. Now the mantra is 'work harder and dumber' and see your revenue drop and see everything get chipped away while the only thing getting 'disrupted' is our income. These people are lying sociopaths. Wake up, get away from corporate america and especially run away from the buffoonery at cengage. M h's megalomania will only grow when they allow him to decimate MH for the benefit of the partners and investors just as with cengage.

And when the transformation doesn't work, we will continue to transform you right out the door every 6 month.
