In about 3 weeks 911 people are supposed to be off payroll, but the entire company and CWA has went silent. Wonder what’s brewing

If you are still with the company, YOU ARE NOT SAFE!
I’m the one that has been surplused and I did find another job with the company that pays 300 dollars a week more and is a much better job than I had before. I started bidding on jobs as soon as I saw the leaked email and was able to find my new job right before I got surplused on 6/14. I am now safe from any surpluses in the future as I bridged ten years of prior service by accepting a job through the NTP process.
To the guy that has been surplus 4 times, really, you should have been looking for another job , cause it will get to you, why do you let them control your life, cause that is what they are doing
the surplus will still go one, might take a while cause of so many, promise it will not be stopped, and more will happen after this, been through it, once it is stated they will proceed, sorry just a fact
Surplus rescinded
I am hearing that the surplus will be reduced and that is why there is radio silence right now.
Got an email in NC surplus has been extended til November 23. Guess since HR waited until the last 3 weeks, they couldn’t get the 911 techs accurately completed. Was it a ploy? We’re we used as pawns in a new contract? Time will tell.

The surplus is proceeding. That’s what’s brewing. It’s _extremely rare for a surplus to be canceled.

I don't sense there is anything out of the ordinary. These people got surplussed last quarter.
In 10 days, there will be a new surplus list for the 4th QTR and the beat goes on.

And that’s just the beginning. Hear there’s even more to be surplussed in D3 on 9/13. Hmmm. Just realized it will be Friday the 13th. How appropriate.
I’ve been surplused 4 times in D3 and it always goes like this. About 6 weeks before off payroll date staffing gives you a list of where you can bump to and you fill out the sheet and fax it in within 5 days. Then about 2 weeks before the off payroll date they start delivering the news of where you are. I’ve actually been told the last week once which gave me almost no time to find a place to move, especially because my boss refused to give me move days. Around Sep 15th or so things will get more lively with the D3 surplus.
My understanding is they are still being surplussed but that’s it’s a large number with a large domino effect and it’s taking longer than planned. It’s still happening however
