When the switched to only a 30-month installment plans for new smartphones, we were giving customers an interest free loan for almost 3 years and no incentive to upgrade. Next week, the Opus system will be automatically adding the $5 NextUp feature by default. Now all customers will get the optional feature and reps in store will have a hard time removing. This should improve our revenues and stock price with the approaching iPhone launch and 4Q holiday rush. Thank you JVB for this fix!!!

switching t t-mobile - they are doing some good things. thank you randy for providing a better alternative to att - the phones use the same network so the switch will be painless again thank you randy for the merger that was not meant to be.

I never buy my iPhones from att and I’m an employee. The Apple upgrade program is superior in every way
Ok I’ll be honest. I’m an att employee. I have bought an iPhone from att in years. Why? When i wanted a ip6 att was saying over six weeks, apple store get me one same day. Since then I’ve upgraded every year and now I have ipxs max. I probably will never go back to getting my phone from att as long as it’s an iPhone. With that said this fee (if true, we know everything anti att on this board is 100 percent true) would be a lousy idea. It makes them more disadvantaged than apple. When the word spreads people will flock to apple to get their phones.
Currently it's optional. Next week you don't have that option?
