We are losing people like crazy... Is it the same everywhere?

2 years ago we had 150 wire techs at our garage-today we only have 35 and still continually losing several a month. Especially with the overall disappointment with new ta terms it’s likely to continue. Those that remain are overworked and morale is at an all time low.
I can only speak for the lowly Prem Techs at my yard, but just in the this year alone, 14 guys have left for greener pastures - mostly to other utilities, high-end AV companies or electrical outfits.
Two more just put in their paperwork this month and will be gone by Monday. So, sixteen total in 9 months.
For perspective, these 16 people represent 29% of our total workforce at this yard. Last year, 2018, we lost over 35% - doing less with less is our only remaining motto.

About 10% a year, including forced reductions. Regular as clockwork.

I am in the CDO and a ton of top technical talent has left in the last year or so for higher paying jobs with tech companies

I am in ATO Global Infrastructure Provisioning, and we have hardly been hit at all. I am wishing we would be, so I can leave with severance, but according to the bosses, we will be around a long time.
Laid off ... gone
Outsourced ... gone or will be gone
Quit ... gone
It's rampant... and very sad.
