It was obvious before it was called. There will never be a CWA strike that is meaningful. That boat sailed in the 80s.
CWA will not stop a surplus, been through two of those
This was an orchestrated dog and pony show by the union and the company. They both knew when they were striking and when they were coming back. The union is blowing smoke to the members to save face. The company got numbers on staffing the call and repair centers with management and how efficient it was with reduced personal.

West, Legacy T, and Midwest had to wait a year to get a TA? And in the case of South, there is a TA almost immediately?
Maybe the strike helped. Given that many of these workers work in obsolete landline telephony, negotiating a gentle landing is important. Devil is in the details.

I’m sure it was all arranged for both sides to save face. The company probably saved $15-20 million in labor costs alone with all of those workers out for 4.5 days across the Southeast. The expected TA will not be tremendously different than what D4 got. At least the union workers got to hoot and holler and carry on in solidarity for a few days in the rain and mud. The only real leverage a union has is it’s ability to strike. If they never use it or get to show it off then what good are they. I’m sure the company will ultimately get whatever it wants and the CWA can tell it’s members “well, we went on strike and here is what they offered and we think you should take it”.
Was there a strike? I didn't notice.
Typical.... it was all hype and now wait for a contract which will be no different than any of the others.
