Anyone hearing rumors of Another strike after the holiday??

District 3 has already announced a Tentative Agreement and posted highlights on the national site. Fairly certain that squashes this entire thread.
Its just CWA's way to avoid paying your bills and actually having to dish out those next to nothing paychecks. If you think the Union execs and Company exes are not in bed together you need to wake up and smell the roses folks. When the scabs and company know days in advance when your coming back to work before you the union members do something is wrong. I can say these things because I went through them in the mid-2000's when I went on strike with another telco. It was the very same situation except we stayed out 90 days and went back to work for less than we went out for. The bottom line is the union knew they were going to actually have to start paying members bills before the utilities were cut off and loans/mortgages were sent to collections. Wish you guys & gals the best, but you can bet your sweet a– the union system is corrupt and broken.
As sh–ty as people think the union is the management is even worse, laying off all those people to offshore jobs and now trying to believe they're right, would anyone of you work if they tried to cut your benefits by half and lessen your pay while expecting more from you?
And most of these "contractors" that have been doing construction work are using undocumented workers.

Article 14 covers about 3000 Tech Positions (at the very high number) out of 20,000 bargained for employees. Do you really think the union is going to fall on its own sword for 15% of its representative force? The union is playing a Game. It’s broke and the company knows it. That little “strike” was a “solidarity” moment to rally up its members into actually thinking the union gives a $h!t about them! Don’t stop believing, s—ers!
@10MBwuzQ-std - hate to burst your bubble regarding contract linemen but they are equally as good and more motivated than AT&T Line... ... they don’t refuse work.... they work through road blocks and they do it all.... ... from road and rope... brush and slug.... dig up and clear.... they don’t find or create a roadblock and sit in the truck to get their next marching orders.... and there is zero overhead for the company.... they don’t refuse work where AT&T refuses and the has to go contract because AT&T won’t prove a duct... truth as hard as it is to accept...
As a CP worker before we were released back to work on Wednesday one of our supervisors said that until the new Labor agreement is ratified it wouldn’t surprise them if another strike post Labor Day occurred. We’ll just have to wait and see. I suggest everyone stop thinking about this and have a great long weekend and then check your emails early Tuesday morning.

Some areas may not have noticed, but the company had contract crews everywhere within a day. They'll be hell bent on proving the work will get done with or without you.
Wouldn’t be the worst idea. This overtime is getting out of control.
They cant just strike when ever the union wants too. And if they do the company will lock them about until the contract is signed.
Any strike during a natural disaster would be a boneheaded nasty move. I am a union represented tech. I would have no problem crossing that picket line.
Hint- threatening to stop working doesn’t make you more competitive.
They want to cancel article 14 and outsource line crews the way they do for all of the other regions. Next week would be a perfect time to strike so they can see first hand what’s it like to use cheap contractors to be the new OPT’s.
Senior execs would have a media field day at the expense of the evil union calling a strike during a natural disaster. It is the single d umbest thing the union could do.
The Union is waiting to see what happens with this Hurricane that is coming to Florida. If they call a strike during an emergency, that would be interesting to see how that all pans out!
