So please don't k–l the messenger here, I feel like this is important enough to pass along to you all here. I heard the other day, via one of my coworkers, that corporate is looking to fire people. So you all better dot your i's and cross your t's. It appears that corporate is getting so cut happy that their looking for any excuse to fire people. So try not to get written up either is also what I heard. I really don't know what to say here, this is crazy. I've never seen it this bad before. Hours going down to nothing, and now looking to fire people. What is going on with this company??

I can confirm, many senior members are getting let go or relocated to different stores. Ontop of that every store within my district is getting self checkout and hour cuts to match.
Corporate is in a cut anywhere you can mode right now, so this is not surprising at all.

OP here again. I am NOT trolling. I am being honest and sincere. Lets just say something happened recently that has opened a lot of people's eyes in my store, and I'd rather not say what happened out of respect for my team and my SM. I will say however, that corporate watches everything we do, and watch what you do, to avoid any red flags being sent up.

Kind of hard to fire people when even the incoming SMITs don't want the job once they know what all is involved. 3 SMITs in my district have gotten stores, none of them have lasted. Training is insufficient. If you don't get trained, you literally have to put the time to teach yourself. If this is true, they're firing to hire cheaper, but realistically it's dumb to let go of the talent for new managers that don't know much.
