I've been hearing that PayPal is planning to reduce the severance being offered with future layoffs. As far as I understand it, people who were laid off previously found the severance fair - so why mess with it?
Does anybody know if this is true? As if I didn't need another thing to worry about...

I was laid off from Allison’s org yesterday, the severance was good and I’m happy. They aren’t reducing it from what people got earlier in the year for those worried about that.

To me, that just makes it sound like next week may be worse than June. Assuming a higher number of impacted personnel, they'd want to lower the severance offerings to help the bottom line.
