Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Is DXC really the worst company in the business?

Realistically? I get that all of us are more or less angry and bitter about the way things are unfolding at DXC. On the other hand if you check out the boards of competing companies on this site, you will see not nearly as much complaining and negative talk. Are we really the worst company one can work for in the business?

To be fair it is an awful company. I have worked for a few large companies, and yes some similarities with redundancies etc. But when large companies contracts come to an end, it is always the same. But DXC internal processes, staff turnover, the way bids are put together and then supported etc are truly terrible. This is why so many people are stressed and leave, it really isnt run well at any account i have worked on, and thats prob around 30.

What you need to do is focus on you, do not take anything at all personal. Skill up, theres plenty of training for free, and relax. Do what you can within your hours, try and have good relationships with people who are equally minded, and just keep an eye out for something better.

I cant stress how important it is to not stress. The company will prob not treat you the way you treat the customers. Dont take it personally, people are just mo–ns lol. Look after yourself, and realise youre only human, and you can only do a certain amount.

Do as little work as possible for DXC. Do as much work as possible finding a good job with a good company.

Totally agree. There's little to no reason to try any longer. It's not worth your family and health to put in more than the very least for a company that despises you.

Well it is a paradox. Yes, it is THE worst IT company on the planet. BUT it is a great place to work.... if you have no work ethic or conscience.

I have been here for a long time and actually do no work. Surf the web, attend meetings, “ work” from home, etc. Nothing to stress about and an easy ride to retirement. I am not lazy, but learned long ago that only the people who care get laid off. DXC does this not from a financial standpoint but out of intimidation.

You know this to be true so don’t shoot the messenger. If you are smart you’ll adopt my strategy. Or you can work yourself into s nervous breakdown and get laid off. Choice is yours.

Absolutely... when you lay off everybody and "management" go and pick the guy who is giving them the least trouble and pile on more.

Management thought process: No client is complaining about this guy.. he sure can take on more!

Work ethic is your worst enemy here

Probably worse than HPE I'm guessing...

CSC was bad, but DXC is worse. Far worse.

And that's before you look any further.

DXC’s complete disregard for its employees is abominable. Last year ML bragged about getting rid of then-current employees and back filling with “kids right out of school in Malaysia.” This declaration was made at an all-employee meeting. Age and nationality discrimination. He’s such an (old, American) mo–n - announcing it gleefully to the employees he was about to can. The cruelest part is the months-long process since May. So yeah by industry standards it is the worst.
