Burnout & high turnover of employees

What is corporate doing to prevent burnout and the high turnover rate of employees?

Layoffs and turnover...that is how it will always be with CVS. Anyone who is not a VP or above can forget any kind of job security. I had a feeling the merge would bring on layoffs, but no idea of the high numbers it would mean. Then they turn around and hire more upper leadership at 6 figures, way above 200K. The millions Merlo is making in salary alone would keep hundreds employeed!

I think they think we’re as replaceable as fast food employees, and they experience high turnover. The reality is we’re not, it’s an intense amount of training for this job, regardless of whether we have degrees, we have to be smart and dedicated, and it still takes years to learn.

The new terminology: "This is the new norm, get over it", "No excuses- make the metrics (I want my bonus)", "You want more tech hours- submit proof in terms of a metrics analysis of why you can't make the numbers. Do it outside of work hours. Then maybe I"ll consider it." "You should be grateful and kiss my feet you even have a job". "Why can't you make your metrics when the store down the street (with twice the help) can?" "Are you a MENSA? If you don't take notes while I'm here you must be an id–t". "This store will try something new- bring your own toilet paper and do not store use or order any more- trying to reduce costs, but keep your staff levels"
Any more comments..........(Remember, they are reinventing wellness for everyone but employees- they lead by example)!

They lose a third of their workforce every year, and have for years. They do not care, or there would be some attempt at retention.

The optics clown obviously knows nothing...

But corporate honestly doesn't care about burnout or turnover. Think about the engagement survey. Some employees tell the company what they hate and what is wrong with CVS but nothing is about it. The store manager is told to review results and develop an action plan for the store.
