Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Do the numbers from the quarterly report really tell the store of the state that the company is in?

I was ho[ping to get some thoughts on that, especially given the fact that my opinion of the state that the company is in is quite the opposite of what the numbers say. I don’t see any improvements in sales or in any other aspect of the business. Who else finds these results strange, to say the least?

Adjusted for inflation, the stock prices over the 1st full Marvin year...
HD gained about 6.5%, LOW lost about 3%.

Ellison and McFakeland will continue to cut right down to the last associate left in each store if that will sustain their FAKE PROFITS & Stock Price!!!

Was told elsewhere that Lowe's has been inflating that number at least 9 years.

One of my Pro Specialists told me that Lowe's counts anyone, including Harry Homeowner with a Big Project, who they get to sign up for a commercial credit account as a "Pro Customer." More numbers inflation from Mahvelous Mahvin, that +35,000 Pro customers he touted.

The better numbers this quarter are mainly the result of expense-cutting. Payroll percent is still too high. Unless sales really take off then I would look for more layoffs.

Looking at the stock price of Lowe's and HD from the same date last year, Lowe's is flat, within 1% of then and HD is up several percent.

We only have one asm and one department supervisor left who are decent human beings, the rest will throw their own mother under the bus to advance their own careers.

We also have zero confidence in Marvin and the marvettes. They say one thing and do the other. They are clearly running Lowe’s for their own benefit.

Our customers certainly don't seem to be happy amd they're the key to everything. We aren't serving our customers anymore because we're too busy trying to fill in for all the people that have been eliminated or just quit due to the harassment that is rampant in many of our stores. Change is good and I totally believe we do need to grow as a company but like all the other programs it has all been very poorly executed. Instead of approaching this in a positive way that would encourage a team mentality Marvin has left us with a mix of disgruntled, afraid, and completely disengaged employees. There is zero trust for upper management and flat out hostility for corporate. They've tried to beat the workforce into submission and now it's no surprise that the workforce is now turning on them.

I agree it's all total BS. I always thought they were poorly run, but this is totally ridiculous. Such incompetence in management, so out of touch at store level.
