Because if we strike in D3, then what?

I doubt operations were moved just for a dime. With the way it’s been for the last 2 plus decades that factory was getting moved no matter. Hector gets paid a lot less down there.
I see an awful lot of anti-union anti-strike posts here. That is worrisome. Go away corporate trolls.
Will a strike accomplish anything? You will never know unless you put up a fight and see.
Congratulations D3 in having the spirit to do this! I wish my district, D4 showed that kind of fighting spirit, but it looks like our union got neutered a long time ago. Even when we called a statewide grievance strike the union wasn't on board. They were content to do absolutely nothing for a year and then capitulate and accept a sh!tty contract.
Best of luck to all of you!!

The ONLY thing a 'strike' accomplishes is loss of wages for the ones on the picket line. While they are 'on strike' their pay is shut off. Granted the great union will give them $25.00 per day to walk the line. The union leaders, however, get full pay from the dues that the picket walker pay.
Ask that to a VerIzon employee who now makes 42.00 an hour, Also the Teamsters Union Employees have no complaints, so I guess their union worked for them
D4 didn’t have a contract strike.
The rental center for the inflatable rat made money.. That's the only accomplishment. I love seeing the rat on job-sites, and the two union members guarding the picket line.
Have strikes ever accomplished anything? Seems like every strike, the unions end-up w/basically the same deal they were offered in the first place? Can someone remind me why this country has unions? Is it to create jobs for union bosses...who basically do nothing? Is there a industry that unions haven't ruined?
