Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

This is artificially inflated success

How long do you think this can last? The only thing that is driving these numbers are layoffs. That's it. Does Marvin plan to continue laying off until there is nobody left at the stores just to pump up the numbers? We are losing customers as it is because there aren't enough of us to do what we have to do and serve them. I don't see things getting better with more layoffs. But hey, what do I know...

All very very true. No employee is where he is supposed to be because each is covering another's empty slot.
The pro loader is doing delivery pulls, so the specialists are loading concrete. The Pro Csa us doing lumber IRPs, so the pro cashier is working the desk. A head cashier covers for the pro cashier, and asm now sits at front end. Typical day, every day.

A customer now walks up to the pro desk ready to spend 15k on a deck, and the person at pro can't help him.now, and asks him to come back at a later date, or go see the guy outside loading lumber and concrete.

This is Lowe's. Every, single , day for a year now.

Our millwork button goes off constantly and times out. We have no lumber staff. Management all go on vacation at the same time. We haven't seen LP in 3 weeks. Three employees had to do inventory in a neighboring store for three days leaving us no one.

I don't need to continue. This is an accurate portrayal of a day at Lowe's, every day. The ccics prove it, or just walk into a store. Everyone knows, yet Marv and liars deny it all.

Corporate said they were going to third party assemblers and fsa's so the associates could spend more time with the customers. Last weekend we did not have a grill assembled because we have no assembler, so 3 sales associates are putting a grill together for the p-ss-d off customer leaving no one in 3 departments to wait on customers. Tell me how that makes sense. Also we have to clean the disgusting toilets because the third party does not show up either. Genius

When we first got laid off, I thought about going to pply for a full time seasonal job that was open. After thinking about it, I asked myself why would I want to go back to a company that would pressure mw for leads and credit card apps while cutting my previous pay for this dubious privlege'. After getting walked out the door I realized that Lowes treats shoplifters better than their employees.

We had customers shopping for appliances walk out last night, why?

The appliance guy was at home decor putting in a window treatment install because the home decor girl was on a register because the cashier had to go to lumber to cut some wood for a customer.

This is not an isolated issue, it is a several times a day occurrence.

We are so short staffed that we are unable to effectively help customers.
