Receiving and everything with inventory control is a mess. Definitely saddens me to see having been on the audit team and then in an asset protection role. Also all of these clubs just COing in merch and not doing the proper research, also doesn't help the chargebacks. Just because your shrink numbers look great, your clubs are still losing money from not keying stuff in on the right POs.
Yep they just thought shrink was bad. About to have way to many hands in the cookie jar. Restructure needs to be done but not at club level. They need to start with the CEO hes allowing all this to happen.
What is “pack out”?
So if @zym is saying is true, then they expect floor associates to pack out, key in freight, pick orders, and load/dispense member's orders!?!? This is getting ridiculous if not insanely impossible.
Most of the people left are too incompetent to have anything to do with receiving.
I went to one early last week.
It was basically about going back to basics while receiving freight.
Since the HO eliminated receiving and got rid of most of the long term knowledgeable employees, the chargebacks from not keying freight into the system have gone from 1.5 million dollars for all of last year, to 9 million dollars in the first 6 months of this year.
Big Surprise!!! What did they expect?
The meeting was combined with the Tire teamleads.
They had to learn how to receive everything (not just tires and batteries) - bread, soda, paper trucks, Frito, gift cards, EVERYTHING.
We are supposed to go back to our clubs and teach all the floor associates and tire techs how to receive everything also - and then give them assessment tests.
I'm not sure what future changes this is leading up to.
