I’m sure none of the former “client services” network wireline work is getting properly addressed by EUS. The W leadership never gave a damn about that work.

Wonder who is left to support the legacy vzb network? Those W managers better pray real hard that those old routers and switches stay up.
Life is good after Verizon. Ride it for as long as you can, take the money, get another job, move on. No big deal.
Regular Joe EUS here, well I can say for the most part the vendors have been hungry. They want to get in and get dirty. If anything my work load has decreased as most work gets tunneled to them. If they can't figure it out then they reach out to us. But for the most part I am really impressed with how VZ has setup the KB information for them. Everything is very streamlined and efficient. The downside is many are in markets that have been neglected so they are playing catch up and trying to appease sore spots with retail management. I do agree in the new 2.0 if you are one of those slackers that rode the VZ gravy train for years it is going to show. It's just of matter of what it has always been. What will the manager do? If they are buddy buddy he will just look the other way. But finally have time to return to my studies get some more certs and move on to maybe an engineer role in Verizon.
4sic... good for you. Ride it. I was one of the EUS who left with 25 years under my belt. No regrets, but recognize that for some it wasn't an option or it would create opportunities for them to be noticed.
Geographically it didn't make sense for me to stay any longer, and quite honestly I wasn't willing to reinvent myself for the company any longer by eventually being forced into taking a new role or relocating. Best of luck to you and I hope the choppy waters smooth soon.
I stayed, and your right, lots more work, leadership that really does not have a clue. I’ll ride this thing into the ground. Getting a couple more certs and training. VSPers leaving left holes that VZ is willing to train to get filled if you know where to look. As for the extra work load, what does not get done will wait until tomorrow.

Easy to get noticed now, as a LOT of brainpower and force left with VSP. If you arent pulling your weight it's going to be seen.
7 months after the first wave of people left there are still middle managers without any plans on how to handle the increased workload, like it was going to magically disappear. And there are certain groups in EUS that are completely floundering as the promise of contractors being added in their area to help has yet to be fulfilled.
I feel for those that stayed.
