Anyone purchasing health insurance on open market in Florida?

Just looking to see if anyone in Florida who left VZ and whose health insurance is going to run out has any suggestions on buying health insurance in Florida from the open market. Any suggestions or guidance is appreciated! (I have a few more years before I qualify for Medicare).

@sdfdfssdf - so you think because your in your thirties and healthy your ins premiums should be low? lol. God forbid you take a turn for the worse and have to pay 5k a month. Dont forget you will get old as well. smh.

Sorry, just saw you mentioned you were I. Your 30’s. I thought you had retired. Good luck to you!

Why would your benefits run out? Are you non-union?

I’m sorry this is the state of things, no one should “run out” of health insurance

Depends on your income. if your not bringing in any money in Calif then look into MED ICAL. They adjust the rates depending on income and you can keep existing insurance. Not sure about Florida. I'm sure they have some type of Obamacare there though as well that will adjust rates depending on income.

It's expensive I know Cobra wanted about $600 to continue coverage after my severance was up. I'm healthy and in my early thirties.
