I've only been with the company for about 6 years now, so I didn't see the "good days" that older employees talk about. But even in that time I've seen how much worse it has gotten.
There was a point where I could say I enjoyed my job. I was even excited for every bonus knowing it was hard earned while I was learning and growing.
Now I go through the motions. It's just a job on the best of days. Each bonus I get I don't feel great because I'm reminded of all the hell I had to go through to get it.
As soon as I'm where I need to be, I'm out. Or we go the way of Keebler. Whichever comes first. At this point, I'm ambivalent.
Sadly, what @103fA4Qf-1vpd said is true. Things have changed a lot, and never for the better.
