Emergency store meeting called
at our store we just had a meeting. Im off today and had to come in for this nonsense. Our great leader told us that there is a conspiracy to destroy Sears by giving them bad PR during slump we are in. He said Walmart and Target are probably behind... — read more
Confirmed store closing list.
I can confirm that the designated store closing list is in fact a list of stores that will be announced for closure soon. I cannot reveal who I am because as of now, I still work for the company (but am in process of exiting). I am surprised at how... — read more
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
We are busy make a transformation. Sears is not really going bankrupt. There will be no more store closings. Have some more koolaid and get back to work.
No announcement today after all?
We would have known by now if there was another round of closings slated for today, I believe. November 1 is a bust.
Tell us already!
I wish they would announce the next round of closing stores already, quit dragging it out. Associates still believe everything will be ok, I dont think they will even attempt to move on until they see their store on the list.

Will Sears/Kmart really emerge from ch 11?
Must be some really good kool-aid these guys are drinking Looking ahead, Sears said it plans to re-emerge from bankruptcy as “a member-centric company” with a pared-back store base of about 400 locations, down from the 687 Sears and Kmart stores at... — read more

Transformation= Bankruptcy. Designated Store= store designated for closing. The End.
It's really this simple...
Hit the nail right on the head and deserves its own thread: Let me get out the crayons and explain what should be fairly obvious to anyone who has been following this and knows how Sears operates: There is no "safe store" list. All the stores on this... — read more

Why are Sears employees so naive???

My local Sears closed
My local Sears closed on June. Now I see my local K'Mart in this list. That's pretty sobering given those stores have been around for decades, and the areas they are in, are not depressed. Especially sad because I would use that K'Mart for last... — read more

The $6 billion that could have made a difference
