So Fast Eddie actually said "we don't need any more customers." Seriously? How far detatched from reality do you have to be to think your business doesn't need more customers? The last time I was in a store it was in a an A-store in So Calif. In all... — read more
Nice article on Sears from WWD (Ed Finkel)
A bit more positive article in WWD. "Sears will survive and eventually turn a profit." For those who don't like only reading the "doom and gloom."

Our CEO blames the media what do you think?
Why I am still here
I am not saying Sears is a great company or has been since the 70s or 80s. I have done well, and that is why I have been here so long. I have worked for people who were good to me over the years as i worked hard. I am just saying what is happening... — read more
Pay Increase
I have asked for a pay increase and manager doesn't even acknowledge it. They always give excuses and I believe the store manager can actually give a pay increase if they wanted, but that comes into favoritism. My lead does so much (she is a tool... — read more
Sears CEO Lampert blames company's woes on 'irresponsible' media
Wasn't there a group of posters on this board just a short time back that made this exact same claim? If memory serves me, they even had the audacity to cast aspersions on several well respected business reporters. In fact, the thread was deleted by... — read more
So what did you think of today's company meeting with the CEO?
It made me a little optimistic, I do like Eddies presentation style, it is very non-BS. While some optimistic things were said I do question the truth of it all. What do you think?
To the people who left Sears, What are you doing now?
I see posts on here saying that people who have left Sears are happier and make more money. I am wondering where you work and what you do. I'm not asking you to name your company. I am just interested in hearing about your job. If you are comfortable... — read more

I have worked for Walmart, Kmart and Sears!
All retail has problems with hard work and putting up with B.S. but Wal-Mart gives raises and bonuses. When I worked for Wal-Mart I received a .10 raise within a month, another raise of .50 within 6 months and as I did training I was qualified to... — read more
Why I bought my water heater at Lowes than Sears
Well let me give you some obvious reasons why I bought my water heater at Lowes than Sears. Cheaper (the same capacity boiler at Lowes I got it for under $300 I saved $100+ dollars vs Sears so do you think I would pay extra to support a company that... — read more

The point system

Ever feel like our inventory and fulfillment is nothing more than a room full of monkeys and dartboards??
Thats what it seems like to me. We get everything we don't need and nothing we do need. There's no rhyme or reason to our shipments. It seems so random, as if we have monkeys throwing darts on dartboards rather than experienced buyers and inventory... — read more
