For those of you who were not laid off telling those of us who were laid off how to feel, f*** off. If you have the courage, tell that to your co-workers who were laid off, face-to-face, where your words might have some meaning. People post here... — read more
Breath in, Breath out, move on
First I'd like to say I am sorry for those of you who were laid-off and wanted to stay. Its never feels good to be told the company feels it is better off without you. Your experience and dedication can't be replaced, no matter what the company... — read more
Where?
In what Center Was that layoff?
I can confirm today's date...
Some really good people was fired today. So again - date from one of previous posts was correct...
Ethics?
Thought it was funny how we got a message about ethical behavior yet Sabre won't have the decency to issue A WARN notice but would rather use sleight of hand to avoid bad press
High performers are too expensive?
Are high performers, who are compensated more than the average for their pay grade, targeted for layoff in order to achieve short term cost savings despite, or because of, their high performance? If true then the future looks grim for those who stay... — read more
Colombia
I understand that MVD is expensive now...but can they move EVERY BU to Cali? How will they get the expertise? They can reduce it at a minimum, bit can't believe they will close. And(probably) no one will move to Cali to save the company's money. BLR... — read more
Zonamerica Cali Colombia.
Cali, zonamerica is building a bigger complex than the one they have in MVD. Google it easy to find.
Not a good option?
Where in Colombia.
Mvd not a good deal for Sabre anymore.
Sabre started hiring in Colombia, this info comes from a VERY truthful source. It is has become way too expensive for Sabre to keep the move folks. Imagine salaries have doubled in the last 7 years.
Next layoff
The next layoff will most likely be corporate folks. TN and Technology have already been hit. I don't know if AS was ever hit yet. The next to get his is corp (HR, Finance, etc.). Don't know the official date, but my guess would be the march date. I... — read more
Confirming strange vibe
HR in BLR were in meeting rooms more than usual today. Also in the evening some gift wrapped boxes arrived. If anyone has good information please share. Ignorance is not bliss in this case.
Jan 17
In MVD theres a strange vibe going on again and all HR people are on a meeting... so maybe tomorrow some of us will get the boot!
Tomorrow is the day?
I read in one of the posts that Jan17 and Feb7 are the next days. Anyone has any information on this? In BLR office mails coming from admin,HR have reduced substantially over the week.
@Anonymous2589
Organizations are ALWAYS required to follow a bell curve when it comes to ratings. HR may label it using some other "politically correct" word but in the end, it's still a bell curve.
No mass exodus
There won't be a mass exodus. Most people that still have jobs need those jobs - no reason to leave.
How to keep good people? Give them a reason to stay...
They had better start paying VCP in stock if they want their best people to stay until the IPO or after. There will probably be a mass exodus soon, before the IPO, unless people have a reason to stay.
It's the nature of the corporate beast
We all signed up for this voluntarily - working for Sabre. You think there is a better corporate job out there that you'll be safe from lay-offs? Maybe, maybe not. The point - right, wrong, or indifferent, lay-offs are the norm in the corporate... — read more
Leaving sinking ship...
Hi guys, I've worked so but, but so hard, to get my ass fired, for years in fact, but to no avail... how sad ! I don't want to wait until March and the next purge. So, I think I'll open the door and walk away one of these days... GLTA, see ya !

VCP Jumpers
I do think there will be a very high number of people that leave after March 15, as after that date, people who have been on pins and needles will have the last excuse to stick around go away. I don't think anyone should feel safe or comfortable.
Jump ship after VCP?
I wonder how many people plan to jump from the ship immediately after receiving VCP? Would anyone worth keeping plan to stay? There's probably plenty of other sea worthy ships to jump to.
Silver Lake and TPG
All of the layoffs are a direct result of Silver Lake Partners and TPG Capital, the owners of Sabre, wanting to take the company public. If the numbers are good in 1st and 2nd quarter 2014, the company will be taken public in the 3rd quarter 2014... — read more

MVD
There's been so many stupid town halls, I think we should demand a Town Hall where straight answers are given as to whether they are planning to shut us down or not. I believe we're owed that much.
VCP

They said we would
Tom Klein said on I think last town hall that we would get vcp. They 'prolly wait with that until layoffs are done (less mouths to feed... and they might think that vcp make people forget this)
VCP
Are you sure we are getting VCP this year? If theyre shutting us down to reduce costs I dont know if theyre gonna give us bonuses.
Pathetic
Hundreds laid off, five tweets and 30 Facebook shares, we are phatetic and deserve to be abused... I bet you do not mention that you are lurking here to the guy sitting next to you... Sabre off
We got good package. Top management is not looking on skills but on inefficient org to choose those to layoff.
Poor sabre if this is a key.
Perhaps this is all my fault :-(
When Sam left, I asked Tom how he was going to get the additional 499 parking spots that we needed. I think he misunderstood me :-(
Anybody worked with Deb?
