Massive layoffs have begun in the Risk Engineering department, but there will be more massive layoffs in other areas. They just got hit earlier. Sadly there are more to come. Just be ready and don't go above and beyond anymore, just do your job. Anything extra is certainly not appreciated or recognized unless you are a favorite.

The company is completely useless. They kept a handful of engineers to manage the TPAs - what a joke - throw a bone to the faves to do nothing but get snoozed by the vendors!! Best of luck to all.

I agree with @ZvGtpWk-2mpd & @ZvGtpWk-2ipl. From what I hear they will be contracting those services out. They aren't writing a lot of business and the business they are writing are going to TPA's, so you may be lucky that it happened now so that you can reach out to some of those TPA's. Leave the useless Manager behind and maybe he will soon be out of a job and won't be able to find one. Good luck.

I was one of the engineering new hires. We were once told how this department will double by 2019 and positive direction for CRS when hired on. Fast forward to the future and now we are let go because it’s cheaper to outsource “3rd party engineers” to do the work than have us salaried + benefits. All the training and money spent gone down the drain, cause we are seen as an expense. Pump and dump scheme? I think so. Meanwhile BD and his buddies are making millions on millions. Gotta love corrupt upper management.

Not surprised to see one the managers in this group still has a job with AIG. He is one of the people responsible for ruining this department. AIG will keep the worthless managers and RIF the hard working employees. Recipe for failure.

I was one of the engineering new hires, lots of money and time spent to train us with no return. Not sure the new direction of CRS at this point, but I don't see a lot of Engineering in AIG's future now.

If NY Times is going to do article in near future with comments from ex employees about how toxic the culture at AIG has become, they should be also directed to this site and look at all the comments that have been posted. Not only the new but the past ones. That will even give them more to put in their atrticle

That's about right for AIG. Heard NY Times is going to do article in near future with comments from ex employees about how toxic the culture at AIG has become. What a waster of time and talent - how much longer can this company survive when it treats its employees this way? Do they really think they have a long term business model to succeed?

Oh well, McKinsey is in charge now, so I am sure everything will work out great.

They did not RIF’d everyone since they still have contracts to meet. once the next renewal season is over there will be one last round.

What an absolutely completely waste of time and money. Last CRS regime imposed unrealistic burdens and their formula failed so everyone suffered! If it ain’t broken don’t fix it! Egos!

I’m not exactly sure the total numbers but the entire hiring class of engineers in 2018 and 2017 has been let go. Someone else mentioned some senior employees as well. I’ve also heard of managers being let go. It’s a complete overhaul.

Laying off people is part of the company annual goals. As soon as the stock price is above $55-$58 range the CEO will bail out. About 6 months to a year more in his role

to @ZvGtpWk-dcp, RIF's at this company have never been released to the press. RIF's are done so that they are scattered every time which makes it legal not to report

I’ve received plenty of goodbye emails from senior tech employees, as well as senior engineers. It would not surprise me, if the whole division gets dissolved.

They’re letting go of mostly younger engineers. Kids that had started work 1 to 3 years ago. This seems like a giant waste of talent, time and resources spent training.
