Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Great things ahead for Power

The union is negotiating a stellar contract and is fighting to bring back the laid off members. Rumors have it we are getting a $5 raise and great healthcare plans. Has anyone herd anything about the contract talks?

Donald Trump got elected. The first thing he signed into law was give big corporations unbelievable tax relief. Some companies got hundreds of millions of dollars .and will continue to receive this money for years to come. The union in America has it's back broken everywhere because John Q public voted against a 15 dollar a hour minimum and for corporations to steal millions of dollars from the government. Business don't care if workers are gonna go on strike ,they got millions for doing nothing .Keep voting GOP n hope it'll change for the better.NOT

Once I get laid off after this next wave of layoffs to hit SCHENECTADY. I will never work and pay union dues again it is a complete joke. No job security, no equal work for equal pay. Many employers now a days offer the same as GE. Cr_p healthcare and a cr-p 401k along with no job security. So why pay union dues? I can do something else with the $785yr that I pay the union.

@ZtQolZD, yeah sure, have you been watching for updates on http://www.geworkersunited.org/ge-news/ ? The Thursday, 6/6 update from negotiations is pasted below:

"The company provided the Unions with wage and overtime proposals during the afternoon session, voicing a continuous message of flexibility, market trends and decreasing rates. IUE-CWA Conference Board Chair and CBC Lead Negotiator Jerry Carney was quick to identify the unreasonableness of the proposals and voiced concern over the ability of the parties to reach an agreement based on the company’s initial proposals"

I assume you wrote your post after having a) closed down a bar at 2am or b) from Fantasyland in Disneyworld.
