Tipping of all current colleagues, NJ and NY will no longer be a hub for operations and technology next 5 years.
If you are in front office, you probably be fine as long you keep your numbers up and pick the right politics.

Years ago they would just freeze ur salary....assuming you were over the max for that level. This was years ago when San Antonio opened and a lot of NY based employees relocated. Thank you for sharing.
Someone in my group asked about volunteering to go from JC to Tampa. She was told that she'd have to take a 27% pay cut and no relocation expenses paid. Now that you can't deduct non-reimbursed moving expenses from your taxes, the math doesn't work. L
I got tipped off infosec will be moved to primarily Poland over time. Unless your job is absolutely required by regulation or needed in NAM, there's a high chance.
A hint that one is coming is if your boss asked details about your tasks more than usual or you are interacting with Poland often.
It is just a matter of time before no tech above the Mason Dixon line....we cost too much...all long time employees. SD will also be impacted....a lot of long term employees there too.
We are hearing by 2021/early 2022
Does this affect Infosec teams in NJ as well?
They been accepting volunteers for years. There will be a "cost of living" adjustment to your pay and so far no volunteers have relocation reimbursements. There's no guarantee Tampa is layoff proof. I only advise to do so if you are close to retirement and plan to retire in Florida.
If your manager directly asked you if you would like to volunteer, I have to say you are expensive enough to be on a potential layoff list.
Are they accepting volunteers?
How long do we have?? I heard this as well today though the grapevine. Frantically looking for new opportunities to leave this pile of sh-- company.
