“We have to execute this year aggressively and flawlessly was his answer”
The same answer that Thoman gave
The same answer that Ann gave
The same answer that Ursula gave
The same answer that Jeff gave
Maybe the problem isn’t in the execution. Maybe the problem is in the plans.
Thank you @ZeE2PIk-5unl for sharing!
it was more of a pep rally than anything. platitudes they want to revitalize the Webster campus. Questions that I recall included:
Update on 3d printing (vader): Xerox surprised many on cost and speed at an event we showed up to. Generated a lot of interest with industry peers
XDX (XIM) consolidation to sites outside of rochester/webster: Danced around question. John said he had no information around specific sites though his CDO/CTO Naresh is the one who stated the consolidated sites to Raleigh/UK/India. I highly doubt he made that decision in a vacuum
Attract and retain young talent: He has a monthly meeting with someone representing "millennials" so he can learn about things like snapchat
If he visited campus a year from now what would success look like to him: We have to execute this year aggressively and flawlessly was his answer
Feel good moment when someone celebrating their 40th work anniversary that day could get his autograph
Correction::
How is it “given” that Webster will be reduced to a satellite? And satellite of what?
How is it “obvious” that Webster will be reduced to a satellite? And satellite of what?
I was expecting it to be bad. It was actually pretty good.
He pretty much just made an appearance and answered a few questions. Nothing worthwhile to even talk about.
Please post what was said for us non-Webster folks.
Look here: https://xerox.taleo.net/careersection/xerox_shared_external_portal/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en
The jobs are posted right on the Xerox Careers website, as well as other job boards, all Data Analytics related. Other sales/service jobs are posted in North Carolina as well (I would consider these business as usual type jobs), and also Conduent has a job or two posted. But the data analytics jobs stand out because those are typically "HQ" type jobs, thus fueling the rumors of business relocation.
Where are people seeing these Raleigh employment ads?
To whomever is coordinating the Xerox employment ads for Raleigh, you might want to insure only one Xerox logo is used preferably the right one. Not a good impression, makes it look like Xerox is confused and doesn’t know which end is up
It’s a given that Webster campus will be substantially reduced to a satilite location. Raleigh will probably be new technology center. Obvious from Raleigh employment ads they want outside talent and don’t plan on utilizing current employees.
The timing of this is suspicious. HCL was here over the past month and now all is quiet all except rumours of Gil Hatch moving. Weather going to be c-appy 50's rain and wind. First time I can remember one of these being held at Gil Hatch. Last big meeting at Gil Hatch was HCL rebadging.
GHCCI = Gil Hatch Center for Customer Innovation (the product demo center)
Sorry. I can’t type Worth a d*mn on a phone.
What is GGCCI?
Peterman Reality Tour starring JohnnyV
Prediction:
More layoffs in Webster
Closing/moving GGCCI
Closing down some mfg lines that are virtually shut down already
Cutting marketing again
Cutting finance again
UHOH!
No idea but the one and only town meeting at the XBS cores we had resulted in over 500 people badged over to HCL
Nothing good comes of a town meeting!
