Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Can this be true?

I heard some chatter yesterday that Pepsi is closely monitoring emails and other forms of internal communications for use against employees that are being released or have been terminated. Isn’t going through emails and phone texts of terminated employees just a little desperate. I guess it is standard security procedure.

The ability exists for ISG to monitor email and internet traffic of an associate if management has "just cause". A number of years back an associate in our team was fired. As part of the process they were able to pull a number of very offensive emails that he had sent internally and external that lead to his firing. He also stupid enough to be on social media which his offensive racist views where publicly posted for all to see.

My opinion, err on the side of caution. If you want to complain about PepsiCo and its management to friends do not use your PepsiCo email & device to send it. Use your personal email & device outside of the PepsiCo network to send such emails. Also be careful what you post on social media about the company. While the company does not monitor an associate's social media profile, if there is "just cause" for an employee's termination they will look at any social medial activity and use what they found & perhaps initiate legal proceeding if warranted.

It's to protect the dolphins. The actual phrase is "Performance with Porpoise".
