Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

If I leave Pepsi, will I face the same at other companies?

Is the grass greener on the other side? In this position , it’s hard to imagine that anywhere could be worse. I was hoping to get some experiences from ex Pepsi employees that moved to other companies. Is it better or are we just faced with the same sh-- , just in a different package?

All the experienced individuals who have been let go are being replaced with Millennial dolts. I come here to work, not to have to recognize and celebrate everyone’s diverse identities.

Are there any companies out there that are NOT like this?

I left 3 years ago...my only regret is that I did not leave sooner. Leaving PepsiCo has given me a completely new outlook on my career...plus I'm happy again!

Did you make sure they didn't live to tell the tale this time?

At PEP, numerous colleagues accused me of physical assault (with Speak Ups, thank you very much). Post PEP, no one has accused me of hurting them (so far).

Almost everywhere in corporate America, especially with these large multi national companies you will face similar issues. But I truly doubt most would be as callous as this place. I speak from over four decades of working, including giants like GE and Pfizer to smaller companies. It's a toxic pit out there. I am counseling my daughter to pursue any career other than one which will put her into the throes of these jackals.

politics is everywhere. Pepsico will say one thing in the interview and once you have the job will renege. i have never seen this blatant shadiness in my life. also seeing a lot of managers with zero college getting promotions they do not deserve! your yearly “raise” is enough to make you leave.

Pepsi used to be a good company, but they've gutted it. All they're left with is an us vs. them mentality and a load of loathing from the remaining FTEs. Places I worked before Pepsi weren't a lot different. Any company beholden to stock prices is going to degenerate as the hotshots take over and gut the company and loyalty.

there are reorganisations in every company , but only at Pepsico this is played so hard , so hypocritical , so double , so inhumane . If the hell exists , i'm sure there is a special place for Pepsico management

I got cut in the first wave in February 2018 and all I can say now is that life is SO MUCH better in every single way. I no longer dread going to my job and the toxic environment. I am now part of a thriving, vibrant growing business that appreciates me and my talents and they have recognized that through bonuses and raises that I nevehttps://www.thelayoff.com/t/Z1iP2JLr ever got in my 20 years at Pepsico. Pepsico is a has-been business in a declining market that has descended into a political quagmire. Until you are away from Pepsico for at least three months, you don't gain an appreciation for how toxic the place is.

Greed is greed, that said, I have Pepsi 35 years, we went to a whole different level of greed, lies and self serving agendas from 06 to present and will never be matched by any other publicly owned company. Don't linger longer than necessary

In my experience it's just different - some of it for the better, some of it's not as good. Make a choice and decide to make the best of whatever it is you do!
