Boo hop - sour grapes. How long are folks going to play the poor oppressed minority card?
Why is it that African, Asian, and Latin American immigrants arrive in America - many with nothing but clothes on their backs - and they spectacularly succeed at realizing the American dream, whereas generation after generation of American-born minorities keep complaining about white male privilege - God how I hate that racist and bigoted term.
Equality of opportunity and equality of outcome are not the same thing, nor should they be.
No @dtr. It’s a fact that everyone is biased, not just women and minorities. It’s a normal expectation for anyone to be biased to one degree or another. It’s not always for racist reasons either. Everyone looks to defend or protect their own shortcomings, perceptions, experience or level of understanding. Rich-poor, educated or not, language barriers, etc. All these things play into our biased nature. One only needs to recognize it exists and try to control how we choose to interact with each other.
My manager said he dont like to work with people who has an accent. The last layoff was a m---acre that trim off a lot of minority who work much harder and more qualified. You just have to be the right color and look.
It's a fact women and minorities are quite biased.
