I know it’s changed quite a bit and just curious.

Step 1) Performance review, lasts 4 months
Step 2) Documented Counseling, lasts 4 months
Step 3) Written Warning, lasts 6 months
Step 4) Final Written Warning, lasts a year
Step 5) Review for Termination
Each step requires at least 4 observations that have a commitment marked “unachieved,” a monthly and a documented mid month check in. In my territory all of them must be approved by HR as well before delivery
More than half the people in my district aren't hitting their numbers....that is a Verizon problem, not an employee problem, quotas are out of control, traffic is way down, promo's s--- and KPI's are set to high. Verizon has lost its mind, are we gonna write up and fire half our staff??? And when do all the do nothing GM's and sm's get written up. Over half of my store is on write up, not one manager has stepped up to help out any of the employees, they just sit in the back and look for bad transactions to put in a coaching for. if half your staff is on pip maybe the managers should be too.
"we are having a helluva time trying to progress an employee for failing to hit quota"
Probably because Verizon does not coach to numbers but to behaviors. It is not about the rep failing to "hit quota" but about what behaviors are being exhibited that is not allowing the rep to be successful.
I challenge you to be the leader Verizon has paid you to be and attempt to help the rep be successful instead of taking the "easy" route and just trying to coach someone out.
Memo of Concern might include an Action Plan, Documented Counseling (usually last 30 days), Written Warning, Final Written Warning then Term. It’s case by case basis which blows my mind because we are having a helluva time trying to progress an employee for failing to hit quota.
Do you speaka any english??
I am an SM and it’s so lose and fly of the pants of the GM and Dm and what is left of HR
