Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Are there really no layoffs?

I see it’s pretty quiet on this board regarding actual layoffs, and at my location none are happening? Is it really possible that they stopped with the cuts for now. Hard to believe when we heard all those stories about reorganization.

PepsiCo's policy is that the company phone or computers are to be used for "business purposes only". They do monitor mobile network traffic & track internet usage & web site visited & can track by GPID. HR does monitor job posting sites like Monster or Glassdoor and will report to your manager if they find your resume on the site (that happened to a colleague who was terminated). I use to work in IT before the Feb job cuts so I do have a bit of knowledge in this area.

My advise, do not keep personal files your PepsiCo PC or mobile phone. If you are writing negative emails about PepsiCo to family or friends use your own personal device using your personal email address outside of the PepsiCo network. Be very careful as to what you say about the company on social media as it is also being monitored.

It's unlikely, as long as you're not using a company phone. If somehow they were installing spyware on your personal phone it would be hugely illegal. But if it's a company phone, they own it and everything on it. If you've been writing er-t-c emails to your girlfriend on a company phone, they would be within their rights to publish them and keep all the profits for themselves.

Anyone- If you use your cell phone to read company emails and use the same phone to post here, can the comments be tracked? Always wondered about that.

There are still layoffs going on. I was laid off last week.

There were a few in my location (myself included). Remember this is going on over 5 years and this year is not over yet as they have more to spend on the reorg in 2019.

I’m sure there are several locations that won’t have layoffs.

I don’t think layoffs are done yet. These tend to go in stages down level by level.
