Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

What about the reorg after the Superbowl?

What about that rumor that there will be reorgs after the Superbowl? Well, the Superbowl is finished and I don’t see anything happening. All quiet at my location. Any info on that, or did this turn out to be just a rumor that wasn't true?

Rumor is the announcement will be Friday, Feb 15th. Eight regions will be merged into 4. Plano Region office is closing down and many of the directors in South Region have left or are moving to different positions. Some directors are retiring.

PBC will 100% be impacted. Heard the same on timing as mentioned earlier - right around earnings release, just like when they snuck it in last year.

Not surprising to be honest - when you have flat volume but increasing costs and are too scared to increase prices because the customers will boohoo, you're just setting yourself up for failure.

Didn't Trump pass a tax cut for the masses? Aren't we at record low unemployment? Seems like the perfect time to jack up prices and fix our revenue problem. We're so scared because of the competition (also, let's just f---ing say Coke instead of always calling it "the competition"), but someone has to throw down the gauntlet first and increase prices. You can't save your way out of a demand problem. Hope whichever leaders are left realize this quickly - I still have my stock I'm banking on

It’s coming. We here it’s going to be big. I’m on the PBC side, hearing 8 Regions going to 4. Lots of heads being cut, both at the Band level and L 5-10. Last year was supposed to be much, much bigger but with the tax cuts many were sparred. When you look back over the last few months, all makes sense.

This is the final phase of Indra’s Saving plan of 5 Billion over 5 years.

We hear it's happening next week as reported here, Monday through Friday.

Anyone else here anything more?? This is awful

Any idea where the region offices will be located? Which regions are combining? Appreciate any insight that you can share.

Most certainly not a rumor. Big cuts coming next week. PBC going to four regions which will fall under four new BUs.

We’ve heard it is coming the week of 2/11... most likely 2/14, the day before the earnings release. Anyone else hearing this timing? How about magnitude?

Always occurs end of P2 for payroll purposes. It's coming. Last year was mild due to corp tax cut, originally planned to be much bigger.
