You're right about the Austin office hours. People come in late and leave early.
Even the people who work from home all the time show as Offline on Skype outside those hours.
@Xs9poCd-1leq In IT all you need is a computer to work, not an office
Austin starts late. Went there once, arrived at 8 like normal. Place was a ghost town until 10. Then everyone gone by 3:30. Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong. LOL
Typical field office mentality.
@Xs9poCd-1nkj is 9:15 that strange? what field do you work in out of curiosity? Its pretty common in IT
@Xs9poCd-1nkj maybe IT is different? if i dont have a meeting i have flex hours. Always put in over 40 but if i dont have meetings i just have to be in for standup at 9:30.
How do you get away with coming it at 9:15
needless to say, our standup at 9:30 was quite awkward
Nobody is safe. From managers, PM, RA, Dev to QA. Tomorrow is another day. People were crying walking out with blue bags. So sad.

@Xs9poCd-1mve whats the rush to get in to get layed off?
Not sure why you are getting in that late after hearing the news. I got in at 6 and cleared my personal stuffs out. Luckily the axe has not fallen on me (yet) but it never hurts to be prepared.
Oh by the way theres a "nice way to start the day" meme on yammer. Did you see that?
PHX, it was a blood bath in there today...people crying etc...everyone standing around waiting and watching others get layed off, honestly it was just chaotic, and its happening again tomorrow....great
