Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

stock is still below $3 a share today

Oh, to be a fly on the wall in TT's office to hear what he has to say about the dismal stock prices. I'm sure that LL will give him a reach around to cheer him up, as he whispers staff reduction in his ear.

look at the sector and the overall market as a whole not just Ws. Learn a bit about wall street first. Learn to be greedy when others are fearful. Buy the dip id--ts. You'll thank me later.

What is pathetic about how this company is being managed - compare them with Cincinnati Bell.

CB has a market cap just over $400 million, and the stock hasn't crashed and burned like WIN

WIN has a market cap just over $121 million, and the stock has crashed to near zero from its peak in the $80 dollar range.

WIN is a larger company than CB - as CB is more regional - wouldn't one think WIN would have a larger market cap? Only if the company has any value to it - and clearly WIN doesn't have much value left in it. And CB has always been upgrading their network far quicker than WIN - because they don't have a bloated assembly of companies they acquired and fail to properly integrate the systems, losing billions in the process as WIN has.

WIN has a clueless executive team that doesn't know how to run a telecom company - they only know how to give themselves raises and not their employees.

CB is how a telecom company should be run - they aren't perfect - but they didn't make clueless purchases of other telcos and put themselves into debt that they can't possibly ever climb out without bankruptcy.

You can buy the DIPS and cash out up 10% or so. This is great for a day trader bit not viable for long term stability.

"Wait till after the lawsuit and 4q/2018 results. "

If they win the lawsuit, the stock jump will be temporary - just like the selling of what's left with parts of Earthlink caused the stock to rise, but now it is falling again. Until WIN cleans house of the current leadership, the stock will stay pretty low as investors know that the leadership in charge of this company is trying to milk what is left of the dying customer base before jumping ship.

Other companies that have replaced their leadership have shown positive results from investors with stock prices increasing - the WIN Board of Directors is as clueless as the CEO.
