Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

We'll be sold in parts

No one company is going to buy all of us, they are going to break it up and sell the parts.

ILEC and CLEC will both be spun off. All of those other services provided by WE will be sold to competitors. I wold guess Zayo for the fiber but do we really own any or does the REIT? Amazon might want our cloud connect? Allworx might be sold to Mitel. Fixed wireless to a competitor.

We don't sell a competitive product. Look at a T-1 vs cable costs for bandwidth, there not even close.

No one uses DSL or POTS anymore, they are dying too. No one needs the phone company for internet or phone service, there are too many competitors selling for far less. Last mile for a traditional telco are dead. The ONLY place they will stay alive is in the ILEC footprint. SDWAN and UCASS and not going to keep the boat from sinking. With all of that said this makes 80% of the company worthless. Enterprise value to debt ratio is way out of line for a normal business.

That’s where it gets scary. The 911 database is of only importance.

We really need to get out we can. It’s going to get ugly.

"Let me be clear- this was not an operational failure on behalf of management or any employees."

It was 100% on the executive leadership. If the company was so financially 'stable', then they wouldn't have hit rock bottom when they lost this court ruling. And why all the reverse splits if the company was doing so well? The company was on life-support for many years - one good hit financially and they were done - they finally pulled the plug, and will soon harvest what valuable parts they can for other companies.

TT and the other Zombie executives will be left for brain-dead.

Corporate lies sound good to the media, but everyone else knows who ruined the company, but the other telcos are waiting for the right time to buy off sections at K-mart blue-light special prices.

Pretty soon the company's entire worth will be worth less than a McDonald's Value Meal.

@XPCcQx8-bwq what are you saying? Not an operational failure? The company is bankrupt because it couldn't operate in a way to produce value and ultimately profit.

Windstream is in a much better position than we were a week or so ago. We are much better suited to deliver our next gen products to customers and future customers. We no longer have that debt over our head. Let me be clear- this was not an operational failure on behalf of management or any employees. Checks will still be issued and life will go on. Let’s do this together as a team!
