McFresh Town Hall -WFH... Lets talk...

So McFresh said that there is no Work From Home (WFH) policy and there was some “mis-information” going around that the company was going away from work from home ( even to the point surplusing based off of it)... But, we are hearing that we have to swipe our badges and watch our VPN usage by management below him... So the question is, who do you trust? What is truth, speculation and what do you think?

If you listened closely to the call, McElfresh said that geography wasn’t a “key” factor in the decision making.... so it was a factor, but not a “key” one... Hmmmmmm.....?????

I am off the payroll on March 29. I was told that it was 100% because I am a full time WFH. (Greater than50 Miles). NOT performance based, I am getting a bonus. And, now work is being rejected back to other business units by my boss because of him losing us. Totally against what the town hall said today...

and yet our level 3 explicitly said location was the #1 factor and went on a tear about how up to our avp level they argued against it but lost.

The mass hysteria on this site has been if you wfh you will be targeted in a lay-off. I think we give the top brass too much credit for what they are doing. It’s more like they are flying by the seat of their pants on this stuff. They say sh-- and then everyone thinks it’s well thought out. No, it isn’t. They aren’t that smart. They are just making it up as they go, hoping it all works out. And if it don’t, they will just leave and work for CenturyLink or Frontier with a fat golden parachute!

I believe his answer was the most honest and forthright I have heard from anyone in leadership thus far. I think it completely depends on the business unit you are in and your team. He seemed very clear in stating that the telecommuting policy has not been terminated, and they are leaving it up to the individual business units on their policies around that. And I can say for mine, at no time during the last couple months were we told to make any changes. I know at least based on what I have read on here, we seem to be in the minority.
