The management knows that we know that something big is in the making, so what’s the deal with the theatrical silence. Why not at least announce the planned number of layoffs so we can prepare and not live in stress? It changes nothing to them, but it means a great deal to us if we knew.

It is happening this moment in Plano, Texas. Frito-Lay North American HQ. Parkwood and Legacy. Police were at HQ just in case!!!!!
It's happening starting tomorrow through mid-week next week, not months from now. Hang on, this one is big.
Meetings are set for Friday in some offices.
I think it will start Friday after the Earnings Call and continue into next week. But that is just my humble opinion.
I think it will start on Tuesday.... Good luck to all.
@XBqsLJQ-kmz. I checked my calendar and you are right. I still think we've got some time though.
That’s incorrect. Last year, the earnings call was on Tuesday and layoffs began immediately afterwards.
Or maybe I'm trying to be realistic and calm fears, rather than run around setting cubes on fire.
Last year the layoffs began on Tuesday. Everyone was notified before the earnings call on Friday. Don't you think the notifications would have begun already? They're not going to notify hundreds of people in a day.
Do I think something big is going on? Yep. Do I think it's happening this week? Nope.
I'm just thinking you've got a few months to get your resume updated.
Whoever said nothing is planned right now is honestly an incredibly naiive individual. I don't want to call you out, but Jesus, seriously? How sheltered/disconnected from the business are you?
Essentially everyone who works at HQ already is aware that something big is coming out Friday. They don't announce early bc of how the stock could react to the news absent context - which will be what the q4 earnings call provides. Maybe if you learned a little more about how the game/corporate rat race worked, you would understand. In fact, here's some homework - go look at recent earnings calls by other companies and identify how many of them announced layoffs. And then check their message boards here to see what the conversation looked like prior to the official public announcement
That or maybe there's nothing planned right now.
Just rip off the bandaid.
People hate this - levitating in limbo.
Automatic termination if they release any info
