Workload, stress and pressure at GE is always high but its been magnified several times now with the constant turmoil in the company, uncertainty and very high turnover. Executives still pretend like all is well and are not accommodating any reduction in workload or introducing better processes to handle workload. I still see situations where one or two people are supporting customers all over the world and getting hit with requests 24/7. Frankly its getting unbearable for me. How are you guys coping ?

If you are planning on working yourself to death, please remember to add your friendly executive to your life insurance policy.
Vote the sleeper slate and all problems will be solved
If you die, they don't have to pay out layoff benefits.
@1qpn that's the metaphor for GE now.
...Consider naming your manager as the beneficiary of your insurance benefits.
@vss you’re doing something wrong if you can't even f@ck a football
Don’t worry be happy it will be over soon the GE holiday bonuses are coming out soon. Pink slips beginning with the least seniority people.
Hey guys! What's up? Still complaining about the same things I see. Is it helping?
At least Amazon employees accomplish something worthwhile every day. I leave work every evening feeling like a monkey who tried and failed to f--- a football.
Just be glad you don't work at Amazon where you have to piss into a bottle to keep the robots working at full speed.
At least the Alstom side found something useful to do with their anticipated free time: join the Gilets Jaunes.

Do you hear people sing?
Cool down, show some senses. Do not bring out the worst part of human nature.
You have to decide if the benefits of working at GE (whatever those are for you) are worth the stress and uncertainty. If not leave, otherwise stay and don't focus on the stress but the work...........It is easier to find a job if you are currently working.......something to think about. Apply for jobs and see what happens.
Look like someone's comments just hit the hot button. "Sharp leader" is getting furious.
Drink heavily
Better to die at your desk than at home, as that will upset your family members.
Of course if you're still here trying to make a buck rather than moving on, you probably value GE more than your family anyway. In which case, consider naming your manager as the beneficiary of your insurance benefits.
It appears some people are coping by posting funny and messed up comments on this chat board.

Please increase your life insurance coverage so at least your family gets some financial protection.
I know of several employees in a similar situation over the years with GE who have died from overwork and not all of them had the right amount of life insurance in place to protect their families. Also, please try not to die at your office desk as it tends to upset the co-workers more than if you die at home. They gave you a laptop for a reason.
Also, consider getting extra non-employer provided life insurance just to be safe as well as updating your will and trust especially to insure the kiddies are set up for college and can themselves become a white collar slave to some other ungrateful multinational corporation instead of having to gamble on enlisting in the military and going to the middle east for a few years to have enough GI Bill Money to just get them started at a university.
VFG probably not in sales/ marketing functions. Otherwise he will know complaining customers are usually those who are willing to stay and work issues out with you.
May the worst person win!
Instead of complaining why don’t you just quit.
Pretty sure GE has health insurance. Maybe your doc can prescribe Xanax?
