Just wanted to be certain. We are safe in December? I know next year will most likely be very messy, but it'll be nice to enjoy at least one full month of job security - id that's even what I can call it at this point.

Merlo announced today front store will be reduced and in the future the store would not be a store with an RX , but a health hub. Read his statements on USA Today! Mangers without a degree need to job search now, no exceptions. Only certain managers who have passed a new Rx certification can run health hub. Quietly last year a handful of managers were chosen and have completed the certification. It was very difficult for most of the people Fs based and much easier for the lead techs that also were involved. This was conducted by an outside 3rd party , no rubber stamping this process by shady trainers.
Yes, a lot of these DLs are dropping the ball during this 4th quarter and instead of taking ownership, they blame their teams. Seriously CVS is a lost company that only cares about the bottom line ... they make money off of loyal people but once those hardworking FS and RX people are gone ... they better hope for a miracle. I’m glad I’m gone from that toxic company.
I had 23 years with this company as a DM. Last year heard rumors, did not worry surely they would keep me over my newly promoted pharmacy sup. That I hired . Received meeting request at regional office and accepted as usual. Attended meeting surprised to see Area Hr in the room. I knew these people as friends. Serious faces discussed realignment and that I would not be retained, while in shock discussed all separation paperwork and signed non disclosure and non compete agreement. Arrived back in district still in shock , pharmacy sup approached me with compassionate tone, I asked how did you know anything about my meeting, she said I accepted your job 4 weeks ago ! Then I had to train my replacement over the last 8 weeks of my employment. This is the company . This happened on the same day across the country. Yes rumors can be true. I am so sorry but another phase will happen soon. Pharmacy is the future and your Pic will know first. They did hire a recruiter to help me find a job and set up the interviews. A year later I am still living on savings no offers to date.
I'm a nobody but it looks that way. DL's couldn't handle FS going into December. Or at least mine couldn't.
