How many SSSs are asked to lie on their audits from store leadership because the teams cannot seem to get their sale tags up by 8am? STLs & ATLs... Why dont you ask the TLs to make sure they hang their tags instead of asking the SSSs to lie? To all the TLs out there, why can you not get your tags out in time? Are you not allowed enough labor to schedule people to hang them?

@WJgIATs-7bne: The problem we always had was that Regional kept changing their minds about prices, promotions and marketing materials. This SHOULD be simple but we had many days when no one knew what the price of numerous items were supposed to be. Then the 80s-era price push system would get stuck with the corrections to the corrections to the corrections. Your thinking reflects two things that were always missing: LOGIC and COMPETENCE. And yes, all of the SSIs in my region along with store leadership were trying to "fix it" but that statement implies that regional would be willing to make changes needed to fix it at THEIR level and global would be willing to fix it at THEIR level. That never happened and my understanding is that it still hasn't happened. The need for so much overkill in auditing was created by leadership's own inability to get their thumbs out of their rear ends and FIRE some top-level people who happened to be in the right place at the right time when Mackey bought Harry's Farmers Market. That's because leadership itself were a bunch of incompetent parasites and loved to hire their ex-wives, boyfriends, college roommates and others for jobs they had no business being in. One classic was the head of the cooking schools who had no actual cooking experience. Look into it.
I was a SSI ten years ago when most of our work was still IT relate and used the RBX system for item management. I would still have to come in at 5am Wednesday morning to help the useless grocery team hang their tags. No other team had an issue getting their tags done.
here in norcal the batches are incomplete and there price changes not on the batch report which is the one sss check and sale prices go in effect adter the ad change is ready so during his audit you will get nailed for it.
labor cuts don’t allow for a dedicated team member on each team to allow this to happen hell we can’t have a full staff to keep the department pristine all day .
god forbid astl’s or stl’s want to talk or micro manage you to see if you can make use of certain things that are garbage but will not leave you alone and know you are backed up with that unproductive chat.
Missed a step. Before hanging tags, pull the damn expired ones. I see new hung tags right next to expired old tags. It shouldn't be that hard yet so many find it challenging. We really have some gifted folks.
This is how it's supposed to work.
-
SSS or SSI prints tags before sale day.
-
Teams hang tags overnight or early morning day of sale before the store opens.
-
SSS audits tags to make sure they are hung by teams.
If those three things happen the store gets a 100% score and regional leadership is happy.
Its not rocket science. If one of those three steps is failing, find the reason and fix it.
I wrote up my sss for putting tags up for other teams
I wrote up my sss for doing audits after 10am
Does he still do it? Yes. So I shredded the write ups because store leadership dont care.
I dont see the point of doing audits if store leadership always going to cover for all lazy mofos team leaders. Oh well.
Store leadership s---s. Customers get free items till 10am though. Wrong price w right tag? Free item. And these id--ts wonder why they can not control their shrink. Seriously cant make this sh-- up.
Store support hangs the grocery teams tags in my store. A few weeks ago we were told the tm that usually pulls the expired sales tags called out soooo..shrug. I am always surprised by what they are allowed to get away with at this store vs the last wfm i worked at.
If you are hanging tags for the teams it defeats the purpose of the audit. You are perpetuating the teams bad habits.
i'm sure they all want us to, but my integrity and perceived reputation throughout the metro won't allow me to lie and say there were no errors when several exist. that being said, i'll work with the teams in any way, even coming in at 5am and hanging up all of whole body's tags, or making all the prep foods signs that morning, to ensure a b.s. fluke doesn't cause anyone to be in the cross hairs.
we open at 7am but are not given enough time on tuesday since astl’s want to talk with tl’s about their ambitions ans what they are in charge of.
every wednesday is a battle and the same astl’s will ask why this why that?
he walks the departements daily and does scorecard walks !
did he forget everything that changed in the last 2 years?
we need amazon leadership in stores not whole foods patsies!
SP does it all the time. You can also tell when Everclean comes after the Sale change and they find Sale tags still up
None. And we'd get anyone who asked us to fired.
Never going to have them all up by 8 am if the STL told me I had to lie about it I wouldn’t do it. Not worth risking your job for that if they try to retaliate because you won’t break policy to make them look better you could have a lawsuit.
