Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Given the instability..are you looking to leave?

im curious and taking a poll..how many of you are seriously looking for a new position outside of Humana? I could not have asked for a better work place when i started Humana, but with so many ups and downs and LACK of transparency over job stability, i am for the first time actually looking daily for a new job..who else?

I left three months ago, and it was the BEST decision I've made in a very long time. I, too, didn't take lunch or breaks, and sitting at a desk 9 plus hours a day was killing me. Somehow Humana gets in your head, or at least mine, and had me thinking they paid the best, cared the most, and something was wrong with me if I struggled to meet impossibly high metrics. That was such BS. I had NO trouble finding another position, I'm getting paid several thousand more a year than I was at Humana, the position is WAH and my employer is wonderful. Yes, I'm one of those that left, found better, and wonder why I took their abuse as long as I did.

Thinking back to when I was hired. How they lured us in with "we are looking for experienced nurses who love what they do" and accolades about the older worker. Then that changed in a heart beat. In fact lots of things changed overnight. It makes me think of someone who is sitting in an office high up and thinks of what do do next.. Mike Frank was a joke. So out of touch with reality and what is really happening. He held a whip but guess who got it in the end? Its a ruthless business set up. Not at all like it used to be. It is always about the bottom line and people's bonuses. The debacle with Aetna where hundreds into thousands lost their jobs while the board got paid millions in bonuses. The workers are your bread and butter, you need to take care of them. Without your staff you will have no support. To hire and train constantly is expensive. Take care of your own and you will save money. You can't buy experience, you build it. The offer for those 60 and over to retire early was a slap in the face. Who can actually do that? Only those who have been paid out high bonuses. People used to work for a company and made a lifetime career out of it. Not anymore. And wondering if Bruce is still flying Humana private jet back and forth to Connecticut on company dime. While we hear from members that cannot afford their insulins.

I got to leave in January of this year-- BEST day EVER. Took vacation days I was due-- didn't and won't ever go back.

If you make light of the stress, emotional roller coaster and overall hypocritical stance H has -- ('wellness' company my backside! )--- all that mattered were the numbers, the stuff that got done even though I/we as a team rarely left our desks, never 'took' lunches-- or breaks.... or we were 'dinged' for 'being away too long'.... my lunch break taken at the gym turned into a write up.... gone too long-- my hour lunch that was due me!

Please, if you care for yourself AT ALL --- get out. If you are happy at H and want to stay, bless you....

HIndsight being 20/20-- Humana was the worst place I've ever worked.

leave now. This company is sinister. They're in cahoots with globalist and bankster forces. They do not have the interest of the USA, their employees or their members at heart. The employee surveillance they employ rivals British MI5, Russian KGB, and German SS. Every department has informants. Your comments are not safe. Trust no one. Even this site is monitored by Humana informants. Proceed with caution - until you are safely out the door........... and do not sign up for a Humana medicare advantage plan.

I'm a former employee just passing through. No, you are not safe at Humana or anywhere else. But, Humana treats you about as good as livestock. You can find a job where you are treated like a valued person. Not the fake "we value every single one of you" corporate jargon emails, but really, genuinely valued. Have you forgotten what it's like to feel like you actually matter? That's because you really don't at Humana beyond your ability to "meet your numbers." They might throw money at you. I know that's a big part of their game. It's not worth it when getting out of bed to face another workday requires a self-motivational talk. The sad part is that you probably don't even realize how very poorly you are being treated, because I know I didn't at first.

I am in one of the areas impacted by the latest RIF. While I was NOT in the RIF, I will say, I have been looking for quite some time. I will acknowledge, most of the MCO's are experiencing the same thing with restructures so leaving is scary but I don't feel safe in HCS any longer
