Why would they fix anything? They still get their $1 million to $5 million yearly comp. Yes it is that high, look it up. It is public info. The problem is there are no consequences to the top fat cats even if the company is falling apart. The mindset is s--- as much money out of the company while you can and then move on to the next host. Until you find the next host... enjoy you beach house in hawaii. That is why you never see an unemployed VP for long bc no one asks them in interview if they ruined the last company

Why don’t Enbridge’s so-called senior leaders care about the debilitating cultural problems within this company? It would seem to me that the VP HR might recognize the problem and actually do something beyond slapping a bandaid on it. Doesn’t he understand that a good culture is essential for production, innovation and retention?
Although a growing mean-spiritedness has gripped Enbridge over the last five years, the work situation is still good for certain employees. If you are one of the employees that the ELT has a reason to protect, or if you are, in turn, protected by one of these protected employees, you are still in a good place.
The problem arises when these protected employees use their status to either bully or withhold necessary information from the unprotected employees.
Add job uncertainty to the mix and you get a psychological minefield for the employees in the trenches.
From my perspective, the employees with the highest levels of mental health in this tense situation cope by tuning out, doing their jobs as best they can under the circumstances, and preparing for an eventual layoff.
It was quite long ago now, and my memory is fading, but I do recall a time when Enbridge employees actually respected our leaders, even when we didn’t agree with everything they said or did.
That was a time when we knew they had the very best interests of the company and the employees in mind.
Little did I know that I would look back on those times with such reverence and appreciation.
To the guy hoping to replace the current m@r@ns with someone better. They are all the same. The only smart ones that care about the company are the ones who built the company from scratch like bill gates or dell. The rest are just blood s---ing parasites. Oil and gas is especially bad when it comes to nepotism since it takes billions of dollars to compete for a newcomer.

Hopefully ELT, so someone can come in and get rid of the debt, reverse course on the stock price and get rid of incompetent Sr. Execs that are still hanging on and faking it.
