Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

How unfair is this company

At the very least if they take someone's position away and they take another position in the club they should go with the hourly rate they had. We want you to stay is what they tell you but then every position that is open has you lose $2.00 per hour. At a 2% raise per year you will never get back to where you are today.

When my position was eliminated, I was told I would keep my current pay. Then the day I went to sign the job offer for another position I was told no, I wouldn’t. The PTC and CM had both told me I would keep it, the CM then said PTC shouldn’t have said that and that the CM never said it. I got a new and better job the next day....

Actually they can take your pay rate away. There used to be a clause in the pay plan that if your position gets eliminated, you keep the same rate of pay. Unfortunately they took that out in June or July of this year, so if you go down a level so will your pay

I am an ex-audit associate, lost pay when I accepted an overnight position. Manager said there was nothing he could do, Called H/O to challenge this decrease in pay, took 3 mths but I got my rate of pay back plus back pay. Don't let anyone tell you that you have to accept a lower pay rate, call H/O

If your position is eliminated, you will Not lose your current pay rate. It remains the same. Just ask the ex audit associates

Yep, this is the new Sam's. Mr Walton is no longer a part of it. This is now a company of, let's see how rich us kids can get and who cares what happens to the stores. Their dad is not proud of what he produced.
