@1ltp “Try to talk business” ? What I stated is fact . Another fact is the stock has split 3 times since I stated working for the company so I guess that makes me “business” smart.
The people on here are pure entertainment.
One more fact I posted was to get your popcorn ready 2 days before this last announcement . Get some twizzlers to work on come February.

Not sure what stock you watch but Walmart stock was at a high of $101 today and has grown steadily over the past two years so they must be doing something right.
Can the company be hard to work for ? Yes but most solid companies Apple,Amazon) are not easy to work for and will change to survive .
Worked for Sams for 30 years and at the end of the day i have the choice to leave or adapt.
Nobody is forcing us to work there.
And if the stock market crashes who is the first to go? The new people. You would take a $10.00 an hour job when you are making over $20? I will wait, thanks. Go away and be as happy as you say you are and leave us alone. I see what lies ahead and I have prepared. If a great job comes along I will take it. Until then I’m staying put. Not angry at all by the way, just sick of you all who have left and are so happy constantly on here calling us id--ts and sheep.
Careful, you are showing your anger and frustration @eop. Everyday with this company is another day lost at another one. This place makes people crazy. If you kept an eye on the stock markets you would see how important it is to get to another place soon. Another market crash is in the near future then there will really be no jobs out there to get. This crash has big potential to be really bad. It's not always about severance. What will your severance do if you can't find a job at all?
I am not scared. I have PREPARED. There is a difference. If the right job comes before my job is eliminated, then yes I will go. Am I going to run and take a lower paying job and walk away from a severance package? Nope. Why do you think your opinion is the right one? Maybe for you it was. Maybe for someone else it isn’t. If you are so over this company then move on with your life and stop trolling these posts! Maybe you are the one who can’t walk away????
Don't say there are no job opportunities. If you have a Sam's nearby then your area is big enough and has other places to work. You are making up excuses. So you would rather have to job hunt once your store closes, and all you other associates are fighting for the same jobs? Maybe start that hunt now, and be ahead of the game. You're just scared, and I don't blame you for that. But you can't just let the fear control you.
And the person thinking they are clearing high level jobs for us? Do you take stupid pills? They are cutting management because the are cutting us regular folks. You can't have a bunch of managers and no employees. Why else do you think they're giving more authority to the leads? Fresh opportunities are good, but there are only so many. You think all these people can just just into fresh? Think about your words before you say them.
I love how people cry about no advancement opportunities, then Sam's clears out high level people who can't pass a test making room for advancement and the people cry about that too. Also how about those huge pay increase opportunities in the fresh departments.
Stop shaming the people who haven’t left. Not every city and town has jobs! For some, they have no choice but to wait it out. For some, they are planning ahead but that includes taking severance. Some will retire. Just stop being jerks. Just because you still work there doesn’t mean you are an id--t or don’t see what’s coming!
There is Zero hope left. Even if you survive , you will surely envy those who left!!
Sad but true. Rumors are all over about Market Positions going away , Managers are being forced to take another test. Wal Mart Managers too if they don’t make the cut they are being forced down or terminated same is happening here. There are more Closings and changes to come. Just facts!
Just get away from this place if you can or you will regret it! It’s just falling apart!

They are too scared. They will only listen when they're forced into it. Then they will see how much better life is out there and regret not doing it sooner. The company sure did brainwash them well. They still think there's hope.
