I agree with the person who said that someone at Enbridge reports “posting violations” to this site’s administrators. I’ve noticed that posts (or threads) only get removed when they include references to things (such as the affair in a certain Shared Services department, incidents of wasteful executive spending, having a high “unlikability” factor) that are embarrassing to certain senior leaders.

If so, that's truly pathetic! The company was doing some employee surveys and "focus groups" following the Spectra acquisition, but that seems to have stopped about a year ago. It's also been a while since they put out a feedback survey of any kind (at least that I've seen). Nobody in their right mind would post anything remotely controversial on Yammer unless they have one foot out the door already, and in the rare occasion someone does, the execs don't respond in a way that encourages more dialogue - it gets moved offine or some vague policy or initiative "TBA" gets mentioned.

So, from my perspective, if you aren't providing a safe forum for people to voice their concerns, you shouldn't be surprised if people start sh--ting all over the public internet where all your shareholders and potential investors can see it. Offer a truly anonymous survey and then do a meeting to address the feedback (and then actually, like, fix stuff) and you'll see less talk here? Just a thought

Yes identifiable names can get a post deleted but I don't think the administrators of this site do not sit around all day watching every single post. This means someone from Enbridge has been reporting to the admins any potential "violation" . In that regard, those posts that get deleted are hitting close to home for that snitch.

Agree. I feel like Enbridge is being run by entitled adolescents who can’t think beyond their own self interests. Where are the adults!!!!!!!!!

Therein lies the problem. Enbridge pretends to be better than everyone else in the industry with all its talk about safety, integrity and respect. But through its actions over the last few years it’s proven to be just like most of the other slow-witted O&G companies out there. As long as the top people make off with their millions, the rest (including the unlliked VPs) are coldly shown the door, compounding the prevailing misery. This current ELT doesn’t seem to include a single person who is capable of a deep thought. All I hear is superficial nonsense uttered to make them look good. But why should they care? Most of them (AM for certain) will be gone in under two years.

Have you worked anywhere else? This is not exclusive to Enbridge. I’m curious, in this climate that the O&G industry faces, no pipelines, all levels of govt screwing the pooch, outside external influence, what would you do different to keep the company alive?

“I lose all respect for this company when the leaders announce that a particular VP is retiring when everyone knows that the VP in question has been forced out. It makes everyone feel lied to, and it makes the situation awkward for everyone concerned. It also disrespects and dishonours the VP’s contributions to the company.

It’s a low and classless move, Enbridge”

Vice-Presidents are retiring and it's not voluntary. There are some great VPs at UG that did everything for the company and their employees. They came out of their offices to talk to people on the floor, not issue emails from on high like certain EVPs do. The EVPs wonder why people are bailing. If you consider your employees just a number on a balance sheet and you're tasked with reducing the headcount to save money, you wonder why employees don't give a toss. Why should they when loyalty is not a two way street.

Vice Presidents “retiring”. Some didn’t want to leave for sure. Forced retirement more like it. Just more dishonesty to employees, stop being so weak and just tell it like it is.

There is certainly a lot of unhappiness at Enbridge. No one I work with enjoys working here anymore.

Bankrupt like Sears? Yeah, it’s says you’re most likely not educated or skilled or talented enough to be Sr. Exec at ENbridge or anywhere for that matter. Whine, whine, whine.

Ome thing for sure is that management and higher ups are reading comments on this board.

What we need to do is heavily post on the layoff page to get our frustration to management and others like news who might get interested in reporting on such employees suffering and management bullying.

Read the site rules or just google it (https://www.google.com/search?q=Why+are+my+posts+deleted+site%3Athelayoff.com ).

Nothing to do with “posts hitting too close to home”, they don’t allow personally identifiable data. That means not just names, but any info which can pinpoint to a particular individual (i.e. initials + position, or hair color).

have you ever noticed that this is one of the most active boards on the bigger “thelayoff” site? Enbridge is on par with bankrupt, sh--ty companies like Sears. Kinda says something, doesn’t it?!
