If you get laid off, are you still required to pay the $500 penalty for not doing the bio metric screening c-ap that invades your privacy?? Also - anyone know of a lawsuit against windstream for this practice? I’ve seen other companies get sued for it.. so just waiting for it.

If a state department of ed, and the state's largest insurer has implemented I'm thinking maybe ONE lawyer has approved it.

This was made legal by the Affordable Care Act. The court cases brought up by the EEOC were thrown out in federal court. ... but good question about the $500 surcharge.

You dreaming, my insurance is via my wife's teacher coverage. Pretty much a state program admin by Blue Cross, same annual thing there! Just filed this years screening.

RE: Post @UY6dcz4-1mwg -- the screening, and the 'wellness program' in general, is run through a third party, and Windstream is not meant to have access to private health data. I assumed this setup-up was designed to avoid being accused of discriminatory employment decisions.

Nothing wrong with taking your sick days. The company counts it as part of your compensation package. You are entitled to them so take them. I worked for a company before WS and didn't take sick days, didn't use all my vacation every year and guess what that got me LAID OFF, Never again. Until you realize you are just a number to the Company and that they don't give a darn about you, you will remain a slave to them. Work your butt off 24x7, no family life. Yeah never again. I'll do my job but I will also take every vacation, optional holiday, personal day, and sick day.
