What's with the delay? They haven't been this late to release earnings in decades.

@UUaAFfv-1aey I told ya they gave out stuff for free or nearly free. How they claimed to make money is beyond my comprehension. Sure they get repeated customers who go get free stuff every day.
@UUaAFfv-1orb WRONG lol the losses this year are huge, and a reduction of asset protection is adding to that. I went into Sears today, had no active points that I knew of at all on my SYW got to the register and $80 in points, walked out paying zero for my purchase and my next "purchase" will be free too. There were almost no other customers in the store and the two that I did see also walked out surprised that their purchases were free.
Eddie is trying to buy all remaining shares in the market because it is so cheap. The longer he delayed the more time he had to buy from the impatient. He will release a good earning call and then from there on he will reap 100% gain in days.
Remember that Eddie is a genius when it comes to hedging. Running retail business, on the other hand, he's a dunce.
If it were bad news they would’ve had the call today. Long holiday weekend other fish to fry. No it’s going to be a good call.
They have up to 45 days from a quarter closing to file. Could drag out even longer
The earnings call time was speculation, nothing more. There can’t be an earnings call without releasing earnings, which did not happen today. Maybe next Thursday, since the time after the end of quarter has varied some, but so far they have ALWAYS released on Thursday mornings. Things are so f’d up right now though, who knows. The news won’t be good though or they would have released them.
A few days later than usual is not a big deal. Maybe a week later than usual is still not a huge deal....However if September 13 is the date then that is almost three weeks later than usual. I would take that as either a REALLY bad sign or SHLD is holding off reporting as they scramble to come up with some other positive news to put out there to cushion the blow of the earnings report.
Checked Edgar & no fling. Whatever the last possible day is legally will probably be the day. I don't know why the suspense is bothering me because common sense tells me that if the results were anything less than a complete disaster, we would have heard around 8/24 as in previous years.
Are we 100% sure it's today? I've seen two places saying September 6 and one source says September 13...... Judging by the silence the last few hours I'm wondering what the deal is.
Agony continues, earning to be declared Sept 13 as per 'Earning Wispers' site.
Anybody heard anything?
Maybe Eddies dog ate the profit and loss statement. It needs to be redone.
Is it me or does anyone else think that Sears is being very sneaky about publishing this call?
anyone got the conf call number

where does it says 11am earnings call?
T-minus 44 minutes until complete meltdown
Yes.
@UUaAFfv-kki.... is that 11 a.m. Central?
It shows the 2nd quarter earnings call is at 11am today.
Wish there was someone at HE, who could leak some info.
Eddie wants to use all his Shop Your Way points at the Labor Days sales before they file for bankruptcy on September 4.
@UUaAFfv-qzk Isn't that money going to go straight to the pension fund though?
They maybe scrambling to work out a deal for the sale of Kenmore and SHIP, so they have something positive to report, to defuse the absolute failure that the earnings report will bring.
it does make sense to wait until after the labor day weekend to file.
It's at the very least obvious that Sears doesn't have anything good to report. I'm believing Sears will file bankruptcy next week after all.
